In Edo-period Japan, the color of the rat — nezumi — was considered the height of sophistication. Subtle, layered, and impossible to pin down, it was the color of people who knew better than to shout. This memo pad is built around that idea.
Siki (四季, "four seasons") is a paper collection by TAKEO that binds together sheets of different colors and textures into a single volume — each page a different encounter. The Nezumi edition gathers a spectrum of rat grays: warm taupes, cool blue-grays, dusty mauves, and soft naturals, all with different surface textures and weights.
One edge is cut at an angle, revealing the full layered spectrum of papers from every viewing angle — a quiet detail that turns the pad itself into something worth looking at on your desk.
