Gray and pale blue shoebills alternate with delicate outlined birds across a cream background. Long legs, broad beaks, and a few sunglasses-wearing birds give this repeating pattern its understated humor.
Made in Japan from 100% cotton, this Hamamonyo tenugui is dyed using nassen, a traditional Yokohama stencil-dyeing technique. Use the absorbent cloth as an everyday hand towel, wrap a small gift, or display its shoebill pattern.

I was pleasantly surprised by the faded lavender color ( the photo looked more gray). The print is very fine and the fabric softer after each wash. Looks cute in my guest bath as a hand towel and also around my head or neck.
