Two red-and-white nishikigoi koi fill the interior of this small Mino ware porcelain bowl, standing out against a glossy, mottled navy blue background. The curved sides open into a wide rim above a raised foot. Made in Japan.
Use it for individual servings from a hot pot, simmered vegetables, or small side dishes. The koi design continues up the inside walls, leaving the artwork visible around smaller portions.
