A tenugui hand towel from Hamamonyo, a Yokohama-based brand known for their Nassen stencil-dyed cotton goods. This design features a shoebill in full good-mood mode — sunglasses on, bow tie fastened, flowers in hand. The Nassen dyeing process produces vivid, fade-resistant colors on a highly absorbent cotton base.

I was pleasantly surprised by the faded lavender color ( the photo looked more gray). The print is very fine and the fabric softer after each wash. Looks cute in my guest bath as a hand towel and also around my head or neck.
