A set of four small cube stamps carrying the plainest marks there are: an open circle, an open triangle, an open square, and a bold X. All four are drawn with a thick, slightly uneven hand-inked line, so they look drawn rather than printed, and the three outlined shapes leave room to write or color inside.
These are working stamps. In Japanese marking shorthand the circle means yes or done, the triangle means partly or maybe, and the X means no, which makes the set a ready-built rating and checklist system for habit trackers, study notes, and daily logs. The square doubles as an empty tick box you stamp in a row down the page.
Designed by Kodomo no Kao, a Japanese stamp maker with a long history of illustrated wood-mounted rubber stamps for journaling and correspondence. Their designs are a mainstay of Japanese stationery shops and are collected worldwide for their hand-drawn character work.
