Arita ware (有田焼) is one of Japan’s three major ceramic traditions, with over 400 years of history rooted in Saga Prefecture in Kyushu. Each bowl is thrown and glazed by hand, which means no two are identical.
The set includes a 100-tine bamboo chasen (Hyakuhon-tate) in its protective case, a matching aqua ceramic chasen holder (kuse-naoshi) glazed in the same tone as the bowl, a natural bamboo chashaku, and a fine-mesh stainless strainer with a wood handle.
